Summary/Abstract: Naturally, criminal proceedings and civil proceedings do not have areas of common influence since they concern different social relations. However, there are exceptions, namely when, through the crime committed, the defendant also caused damage that must be repaired according to the rules of tortious civil liability. In these cases, the legislator had to regulate a set of rules by which to reconcile the effects of the final criminal judgment on the civil proceedings and vice versa, the effects of the final civil judgment on the criminal proceedings.
