Summary/Abstract: Appeals are an important component of any procedural law system as they represent a guarantee for the dissatisfied parties that they have the chance to bring the dispute before the higher courts, usually before a collegial panel, so that a possible error of judgment to be removed.If the need to regulate appeals is indisputable, the way in which they are regulated can be different from one legal system to another, and from this point of view studying them can only be useful for legal practitioners.
