Summary/Abstract: In contemporary world, companies face various pressures to remain competitive, facing a market with rapid and frequent changes, and in this context more and more automation projects are employed seeking for productivity gains. This study aimed to discuss the role of project management in the efficiency and effectiveness of automation implementation in organizations. The research method was to review the literature on project management and on automation, discussing with a single case study.
