Summary/Abstract: The study aims to examine the phenomenon of internal migration in Turkey within the framework of the conflict and migration culture model, while evaluating it within the context of acculturation. The research methodology involved a comprehensive literature review and an analysis of population and migration statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) from 2018-2023. Findings indicate an increase in internal migration numbers in Turkey in recent years. Primary reasons for migration include dependent migration stemming from family members, the pursuit of improved living conditions, and educational and employment opportunities. According to the conflict and migration culture model, these data can be interpreted as indicative of individuals experiencing psychological, social, economic, and cultural conflicts in their current places of residence, prompting relocation as a response to these challenges. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the conflict and migration culture model provides an appropriate framework for understanding the complex structure of internal migration in Turkey, and the concept of acculturation is crucial in elucidating the socio-psychological interactions in the migration process. The research emphasizes the necessity of developing more effective policies and programs for managing the internal migration process and to facilitate the adaptation of involved parties. Furthermore, it calls for future research to examine migration impacts and focus on the country's social and cultural dynamics.
