The Specific Features of Communicational Competences of a Pedagogue

Summary/Abstract: Competences are a very serious issue in humanistic sciences and they are invested with various associations. To be more precise the author presents them in the field of social communication. The term communicative competence was introduced in the psycholinguistic terminology in 1970 by Cambell and Wales as the opposition to linguistic competence introduced by Chomsky. The term competence is often used to describe individual skills and abilities of a person. Linguistic competence presents the ability to adapt abstract linguistic rules whereas communicative competence states the ability to communicate by the means of language. Linguistic competence is the ability of creating sentences which structure is allowed in a given language.
