Summary/Abstract: The research deals with conflicts that occur within the sphere of marriage as perceived by women. It aims at showing their complexity with inclusion of the variable of the duration of marriage, age and cultural level of the family. A 'conflict' is understood here as a situation of disagreement appearing in interpersonal relations between the spouses. It concerns various aspects of their life (needs, aspirations, attitudes, interests, goals). Recognizing the nature of problems in this matter is vital as it may give rise to a reflexion in the spouses and make them accept another strategy of conduct in the case of emotional tensions that occur.
