Summary/Abstract: People always feared that once AI began to develop in every field, human tasks would become redundant, and humans would be replaced by machines. This fear naturally spread to translation. However, it has been revealed that AI does not threaten the future of translators but promises to facilitate their job. This paper aims to explore the challenges and limitations of AI in translation, as well as its contribution to the advancements of the field. We will analyse the relationship between the human translator and AI, as well as find solutions for their better cooperation. The findings prove that AI is not a threat to the translator, as human translation cannot be replaced. What was once seen as a battle where only one winner emerges should now be seen as an opportunity for improvement.
