Summary/Abstract: Narrative medicine plays a vital role in medical practice and emphasizes integrating the stories of patients in the process of diagnosis and treatment. In Romania, this concept is starting to be in trend, being increasingly recognized as a related method in improving the doctor-patient relationship and the quality of care. The article explores the implementation of narrative medicine in the dental field, highlighting the benefits of an approach based on active listening to the patient’s experience. Patients have different feelings, so medical staff should show care and empathy during the interaction. At the same time, the importance of training doctors in narrative communication skills and the potential impact of this concept on patient care, promoting a more empathic and personalized approach to treatment, is highlighted. Thus, the article highlights the fact that narrative medicine has a significant potential to transform relationships in the medical system and, implicitly, to improve patient experience.
