Summary/Abstract: "In the presented study sequence, the relationship between subjective well-being and conscientiousness in students is investigated. As the student period is one of intense individual development, feelings of well-being and personal conscientiousness are two variables that can have a significant effect on personal growth. This research expands the general database regarding factors that contribute to academic success, subjective well-being, and conscientiousness, as well as their possible interconnections. The results suggest that subjective well-being and conscientiousness are significantly linked, and that students who have high levels of subjective well-being will also have high levels of conscientiousness, and vice versa. These results are in line with the findings of previous research by Tuominen-Soini et al. (2008), who found that individuals with high levels of subjective well-being tend to be more conscientious than individuals with lower levels of subjective well-being.This result suggests that student conscientiousness may be related to how they experience the world and evaluate their satisfaction with these experiences. It is also possible that this result represents a mediated effect, where students who have high levels of conscientiousness tend to integrate better into the university environment, which would improve academic performance and, in turn, would have a positive impact on subjective well-being."
