Summary/Abstract: "This article explores the development of conscientiousness in adolescents. Conscientiousness is a vital component of social consciousness and a key social relationship, acting as a fundamental mechanism for regulating human behavior. In teenagers, this quality manifests through attributes like kindness, honesty, humanity, altruism, empathy, a collectivist spirit, responsiveness, and a willingness to offer mutual aid. Given their limited life experience, systematic education is crucial for fostering conscientiousness and addressing negative tendencies. Intellectual growth, physical well-being, and willpower achieve positive social significance only when paired with well-developed conscientiousness.Experimental findings show that adolescents with high conscientiousness tend to prioritize developing qualities such as love for people, mutual respect, sensitivity, sincerity, and empathy. Conversely, they place less emphasis on developing traits that enable rapid and accurate situation assessment, sound decision-making, or effective forecasting of outcomes. On the other hand, adolescents with low conscientiousness are more inclined to develop qualities like purposefulness, resilience, perseverance, determination, and self-control. They also lean towards independence, initiative, work capacity, organizational skills, and foresight. Among this group, the least pronounced development is in qualities contributing to the rapid and accurate assessment of situations, particularly the ability to predict how a situation will evolve. Similarly, the development of modesty, altruism, and demandingness is less evident in this group."
