Summary/Abstract: This study examines the relationship between Digital Quality of Life (DQL) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) readiness across European countries, using the DQL and AI Readiness Index (AIRI). The aim is to identify correlations and potential causal relationships between digital well-being indicators (internet quality, e-governance) and a nation's AI integration preparedness. Correlation analysis and regression models show a high correlation between DQL and AIRI (0.8796), especially with electronic governance (0.9338) and electronic infrastructure (0.8819). Regression analysis identifies Electronic Infrastructure, Electronic Security, and Electronic Government as significant AIRI predictors (R² = 0.9210). Results highlight the importance of investing in digital infrastructure and cybersecurity for AI integration, suggesting that countries with advanced digital infrastructures are better positioned for AI adoption. The study emphasizes the need for policies to enhance DQL components to facilitate AI integration and technological growth across Europe.
