Summary/Abstract: The authors attempt to describe the profile of typical modern day couples who live their lives in a society which is being taken over by a worrisome and ever-increasing sense of competition, a faster pace of life, and greater pressure to conform. In addition, this society also seems to be more and more fascinated by the idea that happiness is linked to possessing, and then changing belongings, people and affections.
