Summary/Abstract: In the tumultuous history of the Jewish people, we notice that God, through His covenant, was always faithful to His promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but also to Moses or the other leaders of the time. The same cannot be said when it comes to all the leaders who have been temporarily at the helm of the people to respect their commitments to the divine, which are often violated, either by the rulers or the chosen people. In addition to the worship of the idols of other peoples or the mixing of the Jewish people with other pagan peoples, there were also numerous deviations that the chosen people committed. In this context, in which the chosen people manifested their infidelity to the divine commandments, God-fearing people arose from the bosom of the people, who warned both verbally and in writing of the dangers to which the entire people are subjected if they continue to violate the divine provisions – these are the prophecies. They are God’s spokesmen and have significantly impacted the chosen people’s history. In addition to their contribution to political-religious or moral reforms, they generally saw that the Law of Moses was observed with all its precepts by the monarchical leadership and the elected people. In this article, I want to analyze their way of manifestation, by word of mouth or through their writings, and their impact on society. We will also explore the relationship between the oratory prophets and the writers.
