Summary/Abstract: The application of correct forms and teaching methods in the curriculum of Bulgarian language and literature at the end of the 7th grade and the beginning of the 8th grade, aimed at the smooth adaptation of students transitioning from the lower secondary to upper secondary education, is an important step for both students and teachers. Teachers are burdened with the challenging task of facilitating the adaptation process for children and/or students as they move into the new educational structure of the upper grades. The mission of future teachers is also manifested in their ability to research and gather necessary information about the personal and emotional characteristics of children and/or students, their attitudes and interests, their strengths and weaknesses, in order to discover and foster their best qualities and be supportive throughout the process of inclusion and adaptation.
