Inventio in the Virtual Environment. Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Preparation of Public Speaking

Summary/Abstract: The article examines inventio – the first stage of the rhetorical canons, which focuses on searching and selecting materials for the construction of public speaking compositions. It presents new approaches to its implementation, such as brainstorming, keyword search, the use of social networks, and artificial intelligence for generating and structuring arguments. Google and AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Gemini accelerate the process by providing access to large datasets, analyzing trends in public discourse, and offering structured arguments. Comparative analysis between searching and selecting appropriate materials through Google and ChatGPT is also presented in the text.
