Summary/Abstract: The article deals with a relatively new area of forensic DNA analysis - Forensic DNA Phenotyping (FDP), aimed at finding information about a person's observable characteristics, clarifies its importance and advantages compared to standard forensic DNA analysis. It also deals with the legal regulation of FDP in our country and in other EU countries, as well as trends and perspectives of development in the field of forensic DNA phenotyping.
