The Book in the Life of the Primary School-Age Child

Summary/Abstract: The topic is of utmost priority, considering the scale of the modern education system, the development of awake generations and the factors of the surrounding environment. The book cements its position as a powerful modulator and mechanism in humanity's natural evolutionary quest for knowledge. The book attracts, holds, captivates, motivates, stimulates, enriches, introduces, educates, encourages, shows, teaches, leads, strengthens, tempers, encourages, spiritualizes, moves, attends, navigates, educates, balances, looks, soothes, straightens, enlivens , formulate, cultivate and so on. With all this, we can claim that the book is a phenomenon of all times. The independent author's study makes it possible to highlight the attitude of children from the primary educational stage to books and the place they assign to them in their lives. 60 children aged 7-10 years from two general education schools on the territory of the city of Ruse were studied. The obtained results, illustrated by means of graphic material, are a valuable guide for children's personal development.
