Summary/Abstract: In 2016, the Forum for Ethnic Relations developed a Platform for the Strategy of Integration of National Minorities in Serbia, advocating for a comprehensive state policy that simultaneously promotes integration and preserves minority identities. The Platform aligns with and supplements Serbia’s Action Plan under Chapter 23 of EU accession negotiations, particularly in areas such as self-identification, census data, employment, anti-discrimination, and cultural/media rights. It emphasizes systemic reforms like language standardization, data transparency, legal amendments, and public awareness to ensure effective minority integration and protection.
