Summary/Abstract: The issue of Serbia's bilateral relations with its neighbors is extremely important in the context of Serbia's accession to the European Union. For more than two decades, Serbia's foreign policy has been burdened with challenges that hardly any country faces, and these challenges should be answered by formulating clear policies both on the internal and external levels. The process of accession to the European Union is therefore seen as a lever that can stabilize Serbia's foreign policy orientation, which would also contribute to the implementation of much-needed internal reforms. Therefore, in the negotiation process, the conditioning of individual member states on issues of an exclusively bilateral nature, essentially do not contribute to the goals of association and the creation of partnership relations.
