Summary/Abstract: The paper unfolds the typical patterns among Hungarian migrants in the UK that lead the migrant individual to become an active member of the local diaspora community. The research is built on semi-structured interviews carried out with local diaspora leaders. As a result of the analysis, three well-distinguished patterns of diasporization emerged: forced diasporization, voluntary diasporization, and transnational diasporization. The paper adds to the literature on the relationship between host country integration and transnational practices.
