Summary/Abstract: The topic of this paper is workplace mobbing, with an emphasis on the legal and social aspects of this increasingly prevalent problem. The introductory part defines the basic concepts related to mobbing, as well as the reasons for choosing the topic, since mobbing is increasingly recognized as a significant cause of impaired interpersonal relationships, stress and decreased productivity in the workplace. The phenomenon of mobbing is considered in the context of employee rights, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of prevention and legal protection of victims. The research methodology is based on a qualitative analysis of a specific court ruling related to the criminal offense of mobbing. Using descriptive and analytical methods, the documentation relating to the specific case was studied in order to present in as much detail as possible the elements that form the basis for legal sanctioning of mobbing. The research relies on a combination of legal analysis and insight into the psychological and organizational consequences that mobbing causes. The theoretical part of the paper elaborates on the forms and phases of mobbing, the characteristics of the abuser and the victim, as well as the consequences that mobbing has on the individual and the organization. Special emphasis is placed on the legislative framework of the Republic of Croatia and international documents that regulate safety at work. In the fourth chapter, a specific court decision was presented and interpreted, in which the criminal offense of mobbing was recognized, thus indicating the possibilities of legal protection and the importance of documenting and reporting abuse. In the discussion and conclusion, the key observations obtained from the research are presented and the need for better mechanisms of prevention, education and sensitization of employers and employees is emphasized. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the fight against mobbing is the responsibility of the whole society, not just the individual, and that institutional changes are also necessary for the effective protection of workers.
