Summary/Abstract: The "Common rail" fuel injection system is a system with direct fuel injection, which achieves optimal fuel injection into the engine cylinders. It consists of a high pressure pump, a common fuel line (tank) in which high pressure is created (maximum pressure is 1800 bar and more depending on the engine) - COMMON RAIL, injectors (injectors) - electronically controlled and installation that connects all these parts. During engine operation, the injectors are subject to many failures. Some are directly related to the manufacturer's errors, the quality of the parts, or even premature wearing of the parts due to the contamination of the fuel and thus the parts of the injector. An alternative that can reduce the cost of maintaining the fuel injection system in modern diesel engines is the repair of "Common rail" injectors. The focus of interest, in this case, is on piezo injectors. This paper presents procedure for preparation, testing and repair of the "Bosch 0 445 116 030" injector. A comparison of the characteristics of the repaired injector with the factory default values with the achieved level of efficiency and economy is given.
