Summary/Abstract: Wastewater is a danger to the environment. Natural recipients (rivers, lakes and the sea) are most endangered due to the physico-chemical, biological and toxic content of wastewater. Wastewater treatment means the reduction of pollution to those concentrations with which treated wastewater discharged into recipients becomes non-hazardous to environment and human health. The methods used in wastewater treatment can be divided into: mechanical, thermal, chemical and biological. The paper presents thermal processes (evaporators, evaporators, crystallizers and flotation).
