Summary/Abstract: The paper considers the pyrolysis of waste plastic. Plastic waste was sampled from the regional landfill in Doboj. 1 kg of the waste plastic mixture was used. The mixture consisted of various types of plastics such as: PET (polyethylene terephthalate), HDPE (high-density polyethylene), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), LDPE (low-density polyethylene), PP (polypropylene), PS (polystyrene), and others (nylon bags). The sampled plastic was dried and mechanically prepared (shredded to an approximate size of 5 cm). The prepared waste plastic was thermally treated in a batch reactor at a temperature range of 200-500°C. Three tests were performed under approximately the same process conditions. About 60% of pyrolytic oil (liquid fuel) was obtained. The tests were carried out in the Combustion and Environmental Protection laboratory at the Faculty of Traffic in Doboj.
