ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF ANALYSIS PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION MARKET IN SARAJEVO CANTON

Summary/Abstract: Modern economic processes of exchange and primary distribution take place on the market as the totality of the relationship between supply and demand through money and under the action of market aggregate forces, the so-called, economic laws, legality, market mechanisms (competition) and market criteria (competitiveness). There are obvious issues in the passenger transport market, in the specific case of passenger transport services. The aim is to investigate the inconsistencies in the network of public transport lines in the Sarajevo Canton, which causes dissatisfaction among service users. It is necessary to change the law regulations, because the current law regulations prevent equal treatment of public transport operators in the Sarajevo Canton. The problem of passenger transport in the city of Sarajevo has been starting since 2010. In order to solve the mentioned problem, activities of amendments to the Law and bylaws regulating the transport of passengers in the Sarajevo Canton have been initiated. The end effect is the creation of conditions for the introduction of more operators who can perform the function of passenger transport in order to meet the needs of citizens.
