Summary/Abstract: Airports have entered an intense competitive environment due to commercialization and globalization processes. Various strategies have been developed to gain advantage in this competition. This study investigates the contribution of artificial intelligence to these strategies and whether new competitive strategies can be created by providing correct data input (prompt) to artificial intelligence. The effects of artificial intelligence applications in airport management are seen in areas such as big data analysis, automation systems that increase customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Artificial intelligence is seen as an effective tool in strategy development processes. In this context, the study evaluated the strategy suggestion ability of the ChatGPT artificial intelligence model over various scenarios. The suggestions of artificial intelligence were compared with the literature within the scope of different scenarios and it was concluded that these suggestions could be useful in the process of creating competitive strategies. As a result, the quality of the prompts given to artificial intelligence plays a critical role in strategy development success. It was concluded that airport managers can benefit from artificial intelligence by creating correct prompts, but artificial intelligence algorithms should be made more customized in this process.
