Summary/Abstract: Until the 1970s, we had little Vojvodina folklore material from the field of folk or lay religiosity. The attention of our folklorists was mostly directed towards collecting folk songs and epic folk poetry. The next fifty years enriched the collection area, which had now shrunk to Vojvodina, with further collections of folk songs of great importance. The last genre of folk poetry to be discovered and recognized was the apocryphal archaic folk prayer, which is the great discovery of the period we are discussing. It is not even included in the anthology Time, Time, Spring Time, and its collection has not even begun. Since then, our region has not been a blank spot in this field of folkloristics. Nativity plays are usually classified as dramatic folk poetry, but they also deserve attention from a folk poetry perspective. Our new collection was also born in this genre during the period under review. The collection of folk tales was not common in this era either, but together with folk tales, the theme of folk religiosity still appears in this folklore genre, as well as in other minor epic works and proverbs.
