Summary/Abstract: The General Data Protection Regulation has increased the importance of the principle of accountability, which poses a major challenge for data controllers, who must be able to demonstrate that their processing complies with the requirements of the Regulation. As one of the fundamental requirements of the Regulation - and one that needs to be demonstrated - is the provision of adequate information to data subjects, data controllers have started to screen and make transparent the processing they carry out, which has necessarily led to the need to define and assess the legal relationship between data controllers. In my study, I would like to summarise the definition of the characteristics of the persons involved in data processing and the aspects to be taken into account in the delimitation, since the task of classification has proved more difficult than expected.
