Summary/Abstract: The article deals with an urn cremation grave recently discovered (2023) during an archaeological diagnosis, near the village of Podu Rizii (Sălcioara commune, Dâmbovița County). Since the survey did not reveal other tombs, it is considered that the grave may be an isolated one. Anthropological analysis of the calcined bones shows that the deceased was a young adult individual, probably male. Based on the grave goods (iron arrowheads, bronze hair rings, fragment of an iron horse-bit) and radiocarbon dating (two 14C dates were obtained, presented in detail), the tomb dates back to the 6th century BC. The funerary rite, pottery and grave goods components are elements that point to the Ferigile archaeological group. The occurrence of this tomb in the plain area south of Târgoviște contributes significantly to the firmer contouring of the southern periphery of the Ferigile group.
