Summary/Abstract: The paper uses novels A Children's Bible (2020) by Lydia Millet and The High House (2021) by Jessie Greengrass as examples for analyzing the emergence of climate fiction, which addresses the issue of climate change. It gives readers the chance to consider the origins and effects of the climate issue, which could raise concerns about the sustainability of life on Earth. The analysis of the aforementioned works examines how contemporary literary production responds to the climate challenge. The research will specifically explore how the house motif is employed as a metaphor for our planet affected by climate change. The motif of the house is a common theme in popular culture, and climate fiction uses it as a basis for exploring the global issue of climate change.
