Summary/Abstract: Unconditional basic income is a proposal that is gaining popularity as a potential solution to economic inequality, unemployment, and poverty caused by automation and technological progress. This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of unconditional basic income, presents results from experiments in Europe and Africa, and discusses the possibilities for its implementation in Bulgaria. By comparing different approaches, it contributes to the debate on the potential of unconditional basic income as a tool for economic sustainability and social justice in a rapidly changing world.
