Summary/Abstract: The paper is a tribute to corresponding member prof. Alexander Yankov for the development of the contemporary international public law. The author presents some of the contribution of prof. Al. Yankov in the field of his study from 1962 on the peace treaty with one of the two German states; the United nations law, the law of the sea and the unilateral acts in international law. The author shares a personal moments with prof. Al. Yankov.
