Reading of women-peasants of the Vladimir province at the end of the XIX — beginning of the XX сentury

Summary/Abstract: Issues, concerning the reading of peasants at the end of the XIX — the beginning of the XX-th century which are studied not deeply by the moment are considered in the article. On the example of the Vladimir province ways of penetration of printing editions into a village are investigated; the basic literary preferences of women-peasants are come to light; the degree of necessity of a printing word for them is shown; the image of a typical peasant — lovers of books revealed
