Summary/Abstract: Children with disabilities have the same basic needs in growth and development as all children: the need for affection and security, appreciation and positive reinforcement, self-confidence, responsibility and independence. At the same time, these children have certain particular, specific and individualized needs. This article has a practical contribution in the field of educational psychology. Its use is to help teachers who work with students who have average or below average intelligence, and have learning difficulties for various reasons. The improvement or disappearance of the symptoms presented by these children can lead to a decrease in frustrated experiences caused by school failures and to an increase in school performance. The learning support teacher (LST) represents a new actor, with a major role in optimizing the educational process in classes where integrated education takes place.
