Summary/Abstract: The presented material aims to enrich the knowledge and ideas of clarinetists regarding the relationship between the function of the clarinet embouchure and the main means of expression in music. In a very concise plan, it can provide good guidelines for every wind instrument performer, based on contemporary trends and different opinions regarding some methodological issues, with the remark that the formation of the embouchure for different wind instruments has individual specific features. It is precisely because of the comparison of different theses on some issues that the terms correct and incorrect will be replaced by rational and irrational.
