Basic guidelines for working the tongue and throat when playing the clarinet

Summary/Abstract: The main goal of the presented material is to enrich the knowledge of clarinet teachers and performers regarding the function of the tongue and throat as basic performance elements. Observations on the work of the tongue and throat are extremely complex, because their activity remains invisible, which makes it difficult for both teachers to control and players to self-control. On the other hand, the educational and methodological literature on the presented topic does not sufficiently comprehensively examine this issue, focusing on the tongue primarily as an articulator.
