Summary/Abstract: In his theoretical ideas developed in the field of polyphony, prof. Z. Manolov explores the key issues related to the “augmentation” and the “diminution”. The analysis of a melody related to its’ augmentation takes the author to some important conclusions which are filtered and resumed in the current presentation.
