Summary/Abstract: Financial stability is a key component of the state economic policy. It promotes the development of the financial system, thereby raising the potential for stronger non-inflationary economic growth. Moreover, the financial stability plays an important role in the operations of many central banks. Several empirical studies have confirmed that there is a strong link between financial stability and economic growth. Countries with well-developed banking systems tend to enjoy faster economic growth than those without them. Financial stability and economic growth rest on an important pillar: the institutional understanding of economy.
