Summary/Abstract: The degree of proportionality, respectively disproportionality of electoral outcomes is one of the most important and significant effects of electoral systems. The issue of disproportionality is the topic of this study. After the brief introduction, where there is an explanation how to understand the issue of proportionality, follows a presentation how to measure the proportionality of seats–votes allocation. Because disproportionality of electoral outcomes is seen as a dependent variable in the theory of electoral systems, in the last chapter of this article, there will be a brief introduction of the most important variables having the strong influence and/or determining the degree of proportionality of seats-votes allocation outcomes.
