My Experience of Teaching Belarusian as a Foreign Language (within the Program East Slavic Languages and Cultures at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia)

Summary/Abstract: The study addresses problems related toteaching Belarusian as a foreign language in theSlovak language context. Work with students indifferent classes within the Belarusian sectionof the program is described. Recommendationson how to use teaching aids and students’books within the mentioned program are given.A sample thematic plan for the whole academicyear (2 x 45-minute sessions) containing optionalsubjects from the field of Belarusian studies isalso provided.
