Summary/Abstract: The work fits into a 'time arc,' starting with the study of stone monuments (sarcophagi) from Lower Moesia (1970) and finalized with the study of sculpture workshops identified in pieces from the Roman province of Lower Danube (2021). The journey is marked by grouped or individual research of stone monuments from Tomis and Histria. The author now proposes a systematization of the sculptural material from Tomis from the perspective of new aspects related to the artistic phenomenon (especially its sociological dimension). The method used, as stated in the conclusion chapter, consists of disassembling the ensemble into significant elements, followed by individual analysis of representative monuments from each category. Since sculptural monuments 'constitute a very sensitive category of social, political, and cultural changes,' the analysis aims to offer a coherent and nuanced interpretation of the artistic product, perceived 'as an expression of a society in transformation.
