Summary/Abstract: This article is dedicated to the great Romanian epigraphist and archaeologist, Mrs. Maria Bărbulescu, post mortem. In an anniversary medallion from 2007, also in the pages of the Pontica yearbook, I was reviewing and appreciating the achievements and constant preoccupations in the field of classical history and archeology; the prominent role in the placement of the Constanta museum among the prestigious institutions, recognized in the country and abroad; important contributions in the field of epigraphy and knowledge Pontic Romanism. Scientific personality and prestigious teacher at the "Ovidius" University of Constanța, Maria Bărbulescu proved herself as well teaching and human qualities.
