Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of innovative teaching methods on the academic achievement of 4th-grade elementary students. The study used a pre-test and post-test control group experimental design. The sample consisted of 68 students from Adıyaman province. While innovative teaching methods were applied in the experimental group, traditional methods were applied in the control group. Data were collected using an innovative teaching achievement test specifically developed for the research. The analyses showed that innovative teaching methods significantly increased the academic achievement of the students in the experimental group. Additionally, it was found that gender did not have an effect on academic achievement. These results indicate that innovative teaching methods are effective at the elementary level.
