Summary/Abstract: Recent war and conflict have led to significant increases in mental health problems, such as PTSD, depression and anxiety, affecting populations in Ukraine and Israel. In Ukraine, the Russian Federation’s invasion triggered the largest refugee crisis in Europe since World War II, leading to major needs for psychosocial support and mental health reforms. In Israel, exposure to conflict and terrorism has led to significant investments in psychological support and the development of social cohesion strategies that support population resilience.National measures and international cooperation contribute to strengthening resilience, with the potential to mitigate the multigenerational effects of trauma.
