Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the textual analysis of the Hexaemeron, which is contained in the Archive Collection of the 15th century (RGADA, collection 181, no. 279/685). The Archive Collection is based on a chronographic compilation dating back to the collection of 1262. The Hexaemeron was an integral part of this compilation. It is an excerpt from the Hexaemeron of John the Exarch of Bulgaria and from the text of the Homilies on the Book of Genesis by John Chrysostom. The Archive copy was compared with the Serbian copy of 1262 and complete Russian copies of the Hexaemeron . The study showed that the Archive copy contains the ancient text of the Hexaemeron of John the Exarch, which is closest to the Serbian copy of 1263 and the copies of the Early Russian recension Hexaemeron. The compiler of the Hexaemeron in the Archive Collection carried out partial editing of the language. When selecting the text from the Six Days of John the Exarch and the Homilies of John Chrysostom, the editor of the collection greatly shortened the text, especially in the part on natural philosophical issues. His task was to comment on the biblical verses of the Book of Genesis.
