On the History of the Manuscript Tradition of Svyatoslav's Miscellany of 1073: the Copy Sof. 1825 of the 15th c.

Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to a study of the Russian miscellanies, including part of the articles from Symeon's (Svyatoslav's) Miscellany of 1073. Primary attention is given to the structure of the copy Sof. 1825, 15th century from the Russian National Library. The analysis conducted has shown that it is impossible to assume that this copy is from Svyatoslav's Miscellany of 1073. Instead, it is necessary to regard it as an independent encyclopedic literary production in which are included the altered articles that are part of this Miscellany. The compiler of copy Sof. 1825, 15th century had at his disposal the copy which differs from the one from Svyatoslav's Miscellany of 1073 in a number of textual peculiarities. The linguistic correcting was carried out in the copy text.
