Summary/Abstract: Improving health and safety at work is an important concern for the EU which is a key component of the European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan. EU OSH1 legislation is essential to protect the health and safety of the almost 170 million workers in the EU. Maintaining and improving protection standards for workers is therefore an ongoing challenge and necessity.
