Summary/Abstract: It is obvious that, without acting in the sense of making the participants in the administration, especially the civil servants, responsible, that level of responsibility cannot be reached in the performance of the specific activities of the public office that would allow the proper functioning of the administrative apparatus. Therefore, the accountability process is important for good governance because it allows the evaluation of the efficiency with which the public administration ensures the development of its activity to its maximum potential, values the provision of public services, instills confidence in the quality of the act of governance and responsibility for the community served. Only through such a process, the deontological prescriptions are valued and inoculated in the conscience of civil servants, thus contributing to their better professional conduct and to the efficiency of public administration activity.
