Summary/Abstract: The article deals with cut biomass - branches from a plum orchard. The diameters of the branches at the cutting site were determined and grouped by 1 mm. The highest percentage was found in the range Ø6<x<Ø7, followed by Ø7<x<Ø8. The reasons that led to the removal of these branches such as contour, sanitary pruning or breakage due to gusts of wind are examined. After a statistical analysis was carried out, the area of permissible values of the diameters was established with a confidence probability of γ=0.95 and number of measurements n≥50. Due to the small size of the wood, the energy potential of this biomass is 3.08 kWh. Moisture content at 50 days after cutting varies by diameter from 11% to over 21%.
