MEDIEVAL MATHEMATICS IN THE ARABIC MANUSCRIPTS FROM THE LIBRARY FUND OF THE NATIONAL LIBRARY “ST. ST. CYRIL AND METHODIUS”

Summary/Abstract: The article introduces medieval mathematics reflected in Arabic manuscripts kept in the collection of the Department of Oriental Collections, some of which are included in the exhibition dedicated to this topic. Two emphases are chosen: the first is valuable works on arithmetic, algebra, geometry and other sciences related to them. The second emphasis, pointing to the application of knowledge of arithmetic and geometry in the making of the codes.
